Mission & vision

Ovarian cancer is called the quiet one. Its symptoms are easy to dismiss, there is no reliable screening test, and by the time most women are diagnosed the disease has already spread. We started the Cure Ovarian Cancer Foundation because that story has stayed the same for too long — and because we believe it doesn't have to.

When ovarian cancer is found at its earliest stage, the five-year survival rate is over 90%. Today only about one case in five is caught that early. Our vision is a world where that number is reversed — and our giving focuses where it moves the needle most: research into early detection, direct support for women in treatment, and education that teaches the symptoms everyone should know.

Our story

Every foundation starts with a person and a moment they couldn't unsee. Ours began in June 2022 with Katie's ovarian cancer diagnosis — eight months of chemotherapy, two years on a PARP inhibitor, and a long look at every gap we ran into along the way.

Board & team

We're a small team of survivors, caregivers, clinicians, and advocates, guided by a volunteer board and a medical advisory group. Full bios are on the way — for now, know that the people behind this have lived it.

Partners & funders

No one beats this disease alone. We work alongside research institutions, patient organizations, and generous funders who share the goal of catching ovarian cancer earlier. This is where we'll recognize them.

Why teal?

Teal is the ovarian cancer awareness color, worn every September and all year round by survivors, families, and advocates. When you see teal on this site — and everywhere we go — it's a promise: we see this disease, and we're coming for it.
